ABOUT DAVID CONWAY – THE WEST YORKSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Hello! My name is David Conway, a West Yorkshire wedding photographer based in Holmfirth near Huddersfield. With over ten years of experience in wedding photography I provide a relaxed but professional documentary style of photographs throughout the wedding day. I also like to take the bride and groom away for some more stunning contemporary pictures. This is a great chance for the bride and groom to have some time together whilst capturing some exciting and unique shots. My style is very much natural and unstaged, with some direction on where to stand and positions but generally trying to capture as real an image as possible, creating beautiful nature wedding photographs.
I have always been very passionate about photography. When not I’m not photographing weddings I will often head out to do some landscape photography too. Being able to call my passion my career, I feel incredibly lucky. There is nothing I love more than photographing weddings and hope this is reflected in my work. Weddings offer the perfect setting for a photographer. Everyone is dressed to impress. Everyone is happy. Throughout the wedding day there is so much emotion and many special moments to photograph. My talent as a reportage photographer is in capturing all these moments. My job is to making lasting memories that really tell the full story of your wedding day, as well as creating some stunning pictures for you to hang on your walls.
West Yorkshire Wedding Photographer – North East Wedding Photographer
Being a West Yorkshire wedding photographer I have had the pleasure of being the wedding photographer in some of the regions most exclusive Yorkshire wedding venues. Living in Holmfirth, which is between Manchester and Leeds, near Huddersfield, I can also cover much of the North of England like Cheshire, East Yorkshire, and the North East. I’ve also photographed destination weddings abroad as far as Mellorca. I am always happy to discuss these too.
I’ve been privileged to be the wedding photographer at locations like Peckforton Castle, Hazlewood Castle, Saltmarshe Hall, Woodlands Hotel, Colshaw Hall, Owen House Wedding Barn, Allerton Castle, Heaton Hall Farm, Waterton Park, Hellaby Hall and Wortley Hall as well as other fantastic wedding venues. I love the variation of photographing weddings at all these beautiful venues and the stunning settings they provide. It allows my creativity to flourish and ends with stunning photographs too for the bride, groom and family to look back on and remember the day for years to come.
I also love the challenge of photographing weddings at venues I have not been to before. With all my wedding packages, I will include a pre-wedding engagement shoot at the venue where we can have a look around and make some plans on the day to make sure we make the very most out of your wedding venue, so you can be comfortable we have a good plan and can make the most of the venues backdrop and scenery.
Creative Wedding Photography
One of the reasons I love my job as a wedding photographer is the oppertunites it gives me to use my creative and artistic side. I love to try and find new and interesting ways to create beautiful and unique images of your wedding day. Getting out in the evenings gives me a real chance to get creative and try new techniques to create lasting images. When meeting up at the venue for our pre wedding engagement photography shoot we can discuss any ideas the venue may allow us to try. Popular options that I have done in the past include my champagne shot. It is always a great way to celebrate with your bridal party whilst getting a unique and natural shot which would look great hung on your wall.
As well as capturing your day in the traditional style, I am also a fully licensed and insured drone pilot with a PfCO certificate. This allows me to capture unique perspectives of your wedding day, with creative shots, venue shots and if you want a shot of all your guests this can be done in most locations too. There is no extra charge for the use of the drone. I see it as another piece of equipment I need to fully capture you day, but it’s use is weather and venue permitting. I have won several awards for my creative use of the drone for my wedding photography photography, and love coming up with unique wedding photographs for you to treasure.
If you are looking for a West Yorkshire photographer, East Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, the North West, the North East or even further a field please get in touch. We can book an appointment to chat about your wedding day. Getting together for a chat with your wedding photographer is so important as your photographer will be with you throughout your day. It is vital you feel comfortable with them and confident in them. Another good reason to meet is to see the different options with your final wedding album and seeing what the final product may look like. When we meet I can bring a selection of sample albums for you to look through to better understand my packages.
Send an email if you are interested and we can book a date!
